Dr. Houtan is a licensed naturopathic physician in Scottsdale, Arizona. She
graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2019, and has
been in private practice ever since.
Dr. Houtan’s favorite medicines include clean/ancestral nutrition, botanicals,
biotherapeutic drainage, and homeopathy. She believes in the inherent capacity
of the human body to heal itself and maintain homeostasis when supplied with
proper nutrients and emunctory support.
Dr. Houtan is a proponent of Terrain
Theory, which supports healthy cellular and organ function in order to evade
disease, and uses natural therapies to help maintain the healthiest terrain
possible. She also offers The Brain Protocol, a plan using homeopathic remedies
designed to heal past traumas and rebalance physiology.
Prior to naturopathic medical school, Dr. Houtan attended Syracuse University
and graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry, while minoring in psychology. Dr.
Houtan enjoys weight training, hiking, yoga, 100% chocolate bars, herbal tea,
and reading novels in her spare time.
